Join Us At       TIME TBD

To Awaken The Dragons!

Dotting of the Eye - A traditional ceremony to celebrate the opening of the festival during which the pupil of each dragon's eye is painted in so the dragons can see. With another stroke of a brush, paint is added to their tongues so the dragons can breathe, now the dragons are ready to race for us!

Blessing of the Boats - A blessing from Rev. Monsignor Michael Wilson, pastor at Our Lady Star of the Sea, for a safe and jubilant festival.

"Wish and a Prayer" Celebration -  Join us for a new addition to our opening ceremony when we'll float a hundred lighted miniature boats on Solomons Island Back Creek.

For $10 per boat you can write your own personal message of good wishes, in memoriam, congratulations, or a blessing or prayer.

All donations benefit SMCR's programs for individuals with developmental differences.

All above events will take place starting at TBD
